Bar Shower Valves

A bar shower valve is an exposed mixer valve with its controls arranged in a horizontal or vertical bar-shaped body. Thermostatic models are designed to regulate the mixed water temperature while providing separate temperature and flow controls.

The valve and its connections remain accessible on the wall surface. For other surface-mounted designs, explore our exposed shower valves.

A single outlet bar valve controls one shower function, such as a handset. A dual outlet model is designed to supply two compatible functions, depending on the valve and shower configuration.

Check the individual product specification to confirm the number of outlets, how they are controlled and which shower components can be connected.

Check the required water pressure, hot and cold supply arrangement, pipe centres, connection sizes and outlet position before ordering. These details can differ between models.

The valve must also be suitable for the shower handset, rail or head you plan to use. Installation should be completed according to the product instructions by a suitably qualified installer where required.

Chrome offers a bright, reflective appearance, while matt black creates a stronger contrast. Brushed brass provides a warmer finish. Matching the valve with your shower head, handset and other bathroom fittings can help create a consistent look.

Always follow the product care instructions because cleaning requirements may vary between finishes.

A bar valve is mounted visibly on the wall, making the valve body and controls easier to access. A concealed valve places its working components behind the finished wall, leaving only the controls visible.

Choose according to your bathroom design, available wall space and installation requirements. Explore concealed shower valves for a more built-in appearance.
