Exposed Shower Sets

An exposed shower set is a shower system with its controls and connecting pipework mounted on the finished wall. Depending on the model, a complete set may include a mixer or thermostatic control, overhead shower, handset, hose and mounting fittings.

If you only need the water-control component rather than a complete system, browse our exposed shower valves.

An exposed mixer shower blends compatible hot and cold water supplies through a wall-mounted control. The mixed water is then directed to the connected shower head, handset or another available shower function.

Some models use thermostatic controls designed to regulate the selected temperature when supply conditions change. Features vary, so check the individual product specification or compare compatible bar shower valves.

The included components depend on the individual system. Suitable models may include a shower control, overhead shower head, handset, hose, riser rail, wall arm or mounting fittings.

Check the product specification before ordering. Separate shower heads and arms and handsets, holders and hoses are also available.

An exposed shower keeps its controls and connecting pipework visible on the wall. A concealed shower places compatible working parts behind the finished wall, leaving the control plate and selected shower outlets visible.

Your choice will depend on the preferred appearance, existing pipework, available wall depth and installation work required. Ask a qualified installer to check compatibility with your bathroom and water system.

Check the required water pressure, pipe centres, connection sizes, control type and available mounting space. Confirm which shower components are included and whether the selected finish is available for that model.

Measure the showering area against your chosen shower enclosure. You can also compare shower riser kits for surface-mounted systems with adjustable rails, overhead showers or handsets.
