What Is an Exposed Shower Valve?

An exposed shower valve has the valve body and supply pipework mounted directly on the wall surface — nothing is recessed or hidden inside the wall. Bathroom Republic stocks 9 exposed shower valves in chrome, compatible with high-pressure water systems and requiring no wall chasing or tile cutting during installation.

Exposed valves typically feature separate hot and cold controls or a single thermostatic bar, connecting to overhead heads or handsets via surface-run pipework. They are the standard valve type for traditional-style bathrooms and over-bath shower installations where concealing pipework is not practical.
