Wet Room Shower Screens

A wet room shower screen is a fixed or partly hinged glass panel positioned beside an open showering area. It helps control water spray without closing the shower behind a full door, which keeps the room feeling light and open.

This design works well in wet rooms and walk-in shower layouts. If you would rather have a door and a fully enclosed space, compare our shower enclosures instead.

A screen is not always essential in a fully waterproofed wet room. However, it can help keep spray away from nearby furniture, sanitaryware and the main walking area. It can also make an open shower space more comfortable without removing the walk-in feel.

The right choice depends on the room size, shower position, drainage and waterproofing. A wider fixed panel may provide more coverage, while a return or flipper panel may help redirect spray in a tighter layout. Ask your installer to check the planned position before you order.

A fixed screen uses one main glass panel for a clean and simple walk-in layout. A flipper or return panel adds a smaller hinged section that can help direct spray back towards the showering area while keeping the entrance open.

Check each product page to confirm which way the smaller panel moves and which fittings are included. Some layouts also need extra support, so compare suitable shower enclosure support arms where required.

Measure the available width and height, then leave enough open space for comfortable entry. Think about where the shower head will sit and which direction the water is likely to travel. A screen that is too small may not control enough spray, while one that is too wide may make access awkward.

Check the listed screen dimensions, glass thickness, adjustment range and fitting instructions. Measurements and fitting needs differ between products, so confirm the final layout with your installer before ordering.

Some wet room screens can be fitted on a waterproofed tiled floor, while others may be used with a compatible tray. Browse our shower trays or low-profile shower trays when planning a walk-in installation.

Match the screen and tray dimensions carefully. The waste position, floor fall and drainage must also suit the room, so review suitable shower wastes and confirm compatibility with your installer.

The frame and support finish can help connect the shower area with the rest of the bathroom. Explore chrome shower screens and enclosures for a bright, versatile look, matt black shower screens and enclosures for a stronger contrast, or brushed brass shower screens and enclosures for a warmer finish.

To complete the showering area, compare our shower sets and check that the chosen shower position works with the screen width and opening. Always read the individual product details to confirm dimensions, included parts and installation requirements.
