No Door, No Tracks — the Case for a Wet Room Screen

Bathroom Republic stocks 40 wet room panels and walk-in screens in chrome and matte black. Unlike a shower enclosure, a wet room screen is a fixed glass panel with no door — no seals, hinges, or sliding tracks to clean or replace. You walk in from the open side. The panel redirects water; the floor handles the rest, either as a tanked wet room floor or with a low-profile walk-in tray.

Fixed Panel or Flipper — What's the Difference?

A fixed wet room screen is mounted to one wall and stands alone. A flipper panel is a small secondary glass section hinged to the main panel — it folds in when you enter and closes behind you to help direct spray and retain heat. Most screens in this range can be ordered with or without a flipper attachment. If the open side of the panel faces into the room, toward a radiator, or toward a door, the flipper option is worth adding.

What Width Do You Need?

For effective water containment without a door, the main panel should be at least 1000mm wide — narrower than this and spray escapes more easily. Bathroom Republic's range runs from 800mm to 1400mm widths, with heights at 1900mm and 2000mm to suit standard and higher ceilings. An 800mm panel works best with a flipper attachment to compensate for the narrower width.
