Flush Plates

When choosing a flush plate for a toilet, compatibility with the concealed cistern or WC frame is the most important consideration. Flush plates are not selected by appearance alone, as the operating mechanism and fixing arrangement can vary between cistern systems and manufacturers.

Toilet flush plates are not necessarily universal. A replacement toilet flush plate must be compatible with the concealed cistern or frame behind the wall, including its operating mechanism and mounting arrangement.

Before replacing an existing plate, identify the cistern or frame model where possible and compare it with the compatibility information provided for the new flush plate. This is particularly important when replacing only the visible plate while retaining the existing concealed cistern.

A dual flush plate provides two flushing controls so a compatible cistern can offer different flush volumes. Other systems may use a single flushing control. The appropriate configuration depends on the cistern and flushing mechanism installed behind the wall.

Always check the individual product specification and cistern compatibility rather than assuming that a particular flush plate will work with every concealed WC installation.
