Manual and Thermostatic Radiator Valves
Radiator valves control the flow of hot water into a radiator from the central heating circuit. Every plumbed radiator requires at least two valves: a flow valve on the inlet and a lockshield on the outlet. Manual valves are adjusted by hand to set the flow rate — turned to allow more or less hot water into the radiator, giving basic heat control without automatic regulation. Thermostatic radiator valves (TRVs) have a sensor head that opens and closes the valve automatically in response to room temperature, reducing heat output when the room reaches the set temperature and cutting energy use without manual adjustment. TRVs are available in angled, straight and corner configurations to suit different pipe layouts.
Finish and Connection
Radiator valves in this range are available in chrome, brushed brass and matt black. Most valves use standard UK G½ threaded connections — always confirm the connection size and type against your radiator specification before ordering. Valves are typically sold in pairs (flow valve and lockshield). Pipe covers and rosettes are available to conceal pipe entry points at the wall and floor for a neater finish. Browse Thermostat Radiator Valves and Radiator Pipe Covers & Rosettes, see Vertical Radiators, or return to Radiators for the full range.
