What Type of Toilet Seat Do You Need?

A toilet seat is the hinged seat and lid assembly that attaches to a WC pan via two rear fixings. Bathroom Republic stocks 8 toilet seats in standard and slim profiles, all with soft-close hinges, available in chrome, matte black and brushed brass. Soft-close hinges prevent the seat and lid from slamming — the lid lowers slowly under its own weight from any height.

Standard-depth seats suit close-coupled and traditional pans. Slim-profile seats are specified for back-to-wall and wall-hung pans where a lower-profile seat is required. Most are top-fix — fitting bolts are inserted from above without needing access to the underside of the pan. Check the fixing centres distance between the two bolt holes before ordering to confirm pan compatibility.
