What Is a Folding Bath Screen?
A folding bath screen consists of two or more glass panels joined by hinges, allowing the screen to concertina flat against the bath or wall when not in use. This makes folding screens particularly useful in smaller bathrooms where an outward-swinging hinged panel would obstruct access — the screen folds away when the bath is used without the shower. Folding screens in this range come in two-panel, three-panel and five-panel configurations. The five-panel version provides the widest coverage and suits longer baths or shower baths where the showering end is broader than the standard 700–750mm bath end. Frame finishes include chrome and matt black; glass options include clear and smoked.
Panel Count, Sizes and Fitting
The number of panels determines how wide the screen spans and how compactly it folds when not in use. A two-panel screen folds to roughly half its open width; a five-panel screen compresses to a fraction of its full span. Panel heights run from approximately 1350mm to 1500mm. Most screens in this range fix to the wall with a top bracket; the bottom edge rests on the bath rim with a rubber seal to keep water in. Worn seals can be replaced using the bath screen seals collection. Browse all bath screens for fixed and hinged alternatives.
