Shower Valves

A shower valve is the control that manages water flow and temperature. Depending on the model, it may operate one or more shower functions, such as an overhead head, handset or bath filler.

The right type depends on where the pipework sits and how the shower will be used. Bar shower valves are commonly surface-mounted. Exposed valves keep the main body visible, while concealed valves hide more of the working parts behind the wall. For combined bath and shower use, explore thermostatic bath shower mixers.

A thermostatic shower valve is designed to regulate the selected temperature when water conditions change. A manual valve mixes the hot and cold supplies through direct adjustment. Features vary, so check the product specification and compatibility with your water system before buying.

An outlet supplies a shower function. A one-outlet concealed valve normally controls one function. Two-outlet valves and three-outlet valves can control additional functions, depending on the model. Check whether those functions operate separately or together.

Check the installation type, water-pressure requirements, inlet connections, number of outlets and compatible shower functions. Confirm whether the product includes only the valve or additional parts. If required, choose a compatible shower head, handset, hose or complete shower set separately.
