What Is a Bath End Panel and When Do You Need One?

A bath end panel closes the short end of an alcove bath. End panels are only required where the short end of the bath is exposed — in a fully enclosed three-wall alcove, no end panel is needed because the bath sits in a recess with walls on three sides. An end panel is required where the bath sits against only two walls, or is positioned in a corner of the room where one short end faces open floor space.
