What Is a Bath End Panel and When Do You Need One?
A bath end panel closes the short end of an alcove bath. End panels are only required where the short end of the bath is exposed — in a fully enclosed three-wall alcove, no end panel is needed because the bath sits in a recess with walls on three sides. An end panel is required where the bath sits against only two walls, or is positioned in a corner of the room where one short end faces open floor space. With 31 bath end panels in the range, Bathroom Republic stocks panels in the two standard widths that correspond to common UK bath sizes: 700mm (for 700mm-wide baths) and 750mm (for 750mm-wide baths).
Sizing, Finishes and Matching to Front Panels
Like bath front panels, end panels are acrylic construction — waterproof, rigid and colour-stable in the damp bathroom environment. The height matches standard front panels at approximately 510–520mm, meaning front and end panels sit flush at the bath rim when used together. Finishes available include white, grey and anthracite. When ordering, match the end panel finish to the front panel brand and range wherever possible, as white from one manufacturer may differ slightly in tone from another — most manufacturers produce front and end panels as a coordinated set. End panels attach to the bath frame with a clip or track system and should remain removable for access to plumbing below rather than being tiled in. Browse bath front panels to complete the set, or see bath front and end panel sets for coordinated pairs.
