What Is a Concealed Cistern and Frame?

A concealed cistern and frame is a steel frame with an in-wall cistern that hides a toilet's flush mechanism behind the wall — once tiled or panelled, only the flush plate is visible. Bathroom Republic stocks concealed cisterns and frames in chrome, matte black and brushed brass, compatible with UK back-to-wall and wall-hung toilet pans.

Frames come in two heights: tall (standard) frames fit a full-height wall void, while short frames suit tighter spaces — under a window, a sloped ceiling, or a worktop. All units are UK dual-flush (3/6 or 4.5/6 litre), conforming to UK water regulations, and the frame and cistern are sold as set for the pan and flush plate.
