Waterproof Sealant for Shower Enclosure Installation
Shower enclosure adhesive is a sanitary silicone sealant formulated for wet areas. It bonds glass panels to wall channels and aluminium profiles, seals the joint between the shower tray and enclosure frame, and fills gaps where the frame meets tiles or wall surfaces. Unlike standard decorator's silicone, sanitary-grade adhesive contains mould inhibitors that prevent black mould growth in damp enclosure conditions. Compatible with glass, aluminium, ceramic tiles and acrylic shower trays.
When to Apply It
Use shower enclosure adhesive when installing a new enclosure or resealing an existing one where old sealant has cracked or discoloured. Apply with a standard sealant gun and allow a minimum of 24 hours before running water. Remove all old sealant residue first — applying over existing silicone prevents proper adhesion.
