What Is a Square Bath Screen?

A square bath screen is a fixed flat-panel glass screen — a single straight panel fitted at the showering end of a bath, with no hinges, moving parts, or curves in the glass. "Square" distinguishes this type from curved bath screens (which have a bent glass profile) and from hinged and folding screens (which open and close). Because there are no moving parts, a square bath screen is the most low-maintenance option: the glass stays in a fixed position throughout each shower and creates a clean, unbroken line against the bath. Sizes, Finishes and Fitting

Standard panel widths run from approximately 700mm to 900mm to match the end of a rectangular bath; heights from 1350mm to 1500mm. Most screens fix to the wall with a single top bracket, and the bottom edge rests against the bath rim with a rubber seal to prevent water escaping. Some models include a small fixed return panel set at 90 degrees to the main screen, providing extra water coverage where the bath does not sit directly against a wall.
