Start with Your Bathroom Layout, Not the Product
Bathroom Republic organises its shower enclosures by shape so you can narrow down from 320 models to the right one in under a minute. The shape is determined by two things: whether you're fitting into a corner or a recess, and how much floor space the tray can occupy. Get those two decisions right before comparing door styles or finishes.
Fitting Into a Corner? Three Options
- Quadrant enclosures — curved door, compact footprint: A quarter-circle shape with a curved sliding door. Available in 800mm × 800mm and 900mm × 900mm. Best when the floor area in front of the tray is narrow.
- Square enclosures — straight sides, same corner placement: Identical corner fit to a quadrant but with flat glass sides and a straight-edged door. Gives slightly more usable floor area per millimetre than a curved quadrant at the same size.
- Offset enclosures — asymmetric corner, wider internal space: One side longer than the other — for example, 1200mm × 800mm — so you get a larger showering area while still fitting into a 90° corner. Right when one wall is longer than the other.
Fitting Into a Recess or Alcove?
A rectangular enclosure fits where two walls form a straight recess rather than a corner. Standard sizes run from 1000mm × 700mm to 1400mm × 900mm. These give the widest internal showering space of any enclosure shape at equivalent dimensions — right when floor space allows a larger tray footprint.
