Which Accessories Does a Bath Installation Need?

The sequence matters: fit the overflow and waste before the bath is lowered into position, as access to the underside is restricted once the bath is in place. Taps come next — pillar taps need pre-drilled holes in the bath rim; for freestanding baths, a floor-mounted freestanding tap pillar requires access to supply pipes below the floor. Bath panels are fitted after the bath is plumbed in, closing the exposed side and any exposed end of an alcove bath. A bath screen is required wherever the bath will also be used for showering — it mounts to the wall at the showering end and pivots open for bathing. Finally, bath screen seals are the replaceable rubber strips that create a watertight join between the screen edge and the bath rim; replacing worn seals costs a fraction of replacing the whole screen.
