What Is a Wall Mounted Basin Tap?

A wall mounted basin tap fixes directly to the wall above the basin rather than through a tap hole in the basin deck. This makes it a practical choice for wall-hung basins, stone or concrete basins with no pre-drilled holes, and basins built into furniture with no deck space for a conventional tap. Because the pipework runs inside the wall, installation requires concealed hot and cold supply pipes to be set at the correct height and centres before the wall is tiled or finished — wall mounted taps are best planned at the build or renovation stage rather than retrofitted. Spout reach and height vary by model, so check both dimensions against your basin position before ordering.
