What Is a Rimless Toilet?

A rimless toilet has no overhanging rim around the top of the bowl. Instead of water exiting through rim holes — which can trap limescale and bacteria — a rimless flush directs water in a sheet along the inner bowl wall, covering all surfaces in a single flush. Bathroom Republic stocks 125 rimless toilets in close coupled, back-to-wall, short projection and wall-hung styles, available in white with chrome and matte black fittings.

Close coupled rimless toilets combine cistern and pan as one unit. Back-to-wall models conceal the cistern inside furniture or a wall frame. Wall-hung toilets fix to a wall-mounted frame with the pan raised off the floor, giving full access beneath for cleaning. Most models are dual flush with 3/6 litre or 2.6/4 litre options conforming to UK water regulations, and are supplied without a seat — compatible soft-close seats are listed separately.
