Why Bi-fold Over Sliding in a Square Enclosure

A sliding door runs on a track across the top and bottom of the door opening. In an 800mm or 900mm square enclosure, that track slightly reduces the usable internal shower width. A bi-fold door has no track across the opening — the glass folds to one side when you enter, keeping the full internal width accessible. For smaller square enclosures where internal space matters, a bi-fold gives more usable room than a sliding door at the same nominal size.
